Why Archive with ArcMail?

In my last blog, I wrote about the need for an email archiving solution from a CEO’s perspective.  I will now address why I believe ArcMail is the right solution to archive email for your organization.  As a CEO, I evaluate the following criteria when considering a solution provider/partner:

  1. Expertise
  2. Technical capabilities/products and services offered/performance
  3. Ongoing support
  4. The people

So how does ArcMail stack up against each of these 4 criteria when evaluating email archiving solutions?

1.  Expertise:  ArcMail was one of the first to market with an email archiving solution back in 2005.  But while 2005 was the first year ArcMail offered an email archiving solution to the market, it was not new to the market.  ArcMail was born out of Seek Systems.  Seek Systems developed and marketed a FasFile RAID product.  It was from this platform and expertise that Seek developed and launched an early to market email archiving solution.  Additionally, ArcMail is one of the few appliance based email archiving solutions that does not utilize a 3rd party search engine.  The internal development process results in knowledge and expertise that cannot be gained by buying an off the shelf component to integrate into your solution.

2.  Technical capabilities/ products and services offered/performance:  Very few email archiving solutions providers offer the breadth of coverage as ArcMail.  Our solution works regardless of the corporate email platform.  Additionally, as pointed out under Expertise above, our approach to developing our own search engine has greatly enhanced both our capabilities as well as our performance.  We continue to outperform our competition in search and retrieval speeds.

3.  Ongoing support:  In a technical sale, engagement with the customer doesn’t end when the product is delivered.  In fact, delivery and installation are really just the beginning of the relationship.  At ArcMail, we clearly recognize the need and the importance of continuously supporting our customers, and we make it easy for our customers to request support. We do not stop until we have solved a customer’s issue…even if the underlying cause does not originate with our Defender product, we will continue working with a customer to solve an issue until a resolution is found.

4.  The people:  The final piece that makes a company great and one to consider as a provider to your business is the people at that company.  At the end of the day, you can have the greatest technology in the world, but if you don’t have the right people to help you build the company and deliver the products and services to your customers, you will fail.  I have had the opportunity to work at several companies across industries, and never before have I been as impressed with the collection of individuals that make up the ArcMail team.  As a leader, it makes my job much easier to be surrounded by a group of individuals that are not only smart, capable and fun to be around, but a group that truly shares my vision and has the same passion I have for what we are trying to accomplish.
