Florida Rules of Civil Procedure:

Rule 1.201(b) includes a meet and confer provision and directly refers to ESI.

In January 2011, the Florida Bar’s Civil Procedure Rules Committee adopted proposals for e-discovery amendments largely analogous to the 2006 Federal amendments. Comments on these proposals were due October 17, 2011. Also in January 2011, Florida adopted Rule 1.285 that addressed privilege in the context of inadvertently produced materials, largely analogous to Fed.R.Civ.P. 26(b)(5)(B).

The United States District Court, Middle District of Florida, has issued discovery standards which include preserving and producing electronic information, in addition to the discovery of electronic information.
